Plot

The film begins with Rakesh Maria narrating the events of the attacks to a committee that is probing his role in the operation. He recounts how a group of ten Pakistani terrorists, belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba militant group, arrived in Mumbai by sea and split into five teams. They targeted various locations in the city, such as the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, the Leopold Cafe, the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, the Oberoi Trident Hotel, and the Nariman House Jewish center. They killed and injured hundreds of civilians and security personnel, and held hostages for several hours. The film shows how the police and other agencies responded to the attacks, and how they managed to kill nine of the terrorists and capture Kasab alive.
